Our Story

What is Farm Soap?

(A Tribute to Tradition and Family)

Introduction:
Welcome to our little corner of tradition! "Farm Soap" is more than just handmade soap—it's a piece of our family’s history brought back to life. As a cook, I often found myself with leftover rendered animal fats and wondered how to use them. My grandfather suggested an old-fashioned solution: making soap the way his mother (my great-grandmother, Hazel Hayden) used to on the farm.

The Inspiration:
Alongside these words, you'd see the vintage photo of Hazel, the handwritten soap recipe she left behind, and a glimpse of the old family homestead. These images remind us that the roots of our farm-based soap-making go back generations.

The Process:
We started with that very handwritten recipe—simple, rustic, and unscented. Over time, we adapted it using modern techniques and high-quality natural ingredients. While Hazel’s soap was purely practical, ours also brings in natural colorants and essential oils to create beautiful scents and colors.

Why Farm Soap?
"Farm Soap" is our tribute to the resourcefulness of past generations. It’s a way to create a soap that’s closer to what people used on the farm—gentle, animal-based, and wonderfully skin-friendly. We believe it’s a superior choice for anyone who wants a soap made with care and tradition.
